UKIPO’s recently published monthly statistics for trade mark and design applications and registrations show a record number of trade mark filings in June 2020 (click here).
While this could be put down to brand owners simultaneously filing applications in the EU and UK to avoid any potential loss of rights as we near the end of the Brexit Transition Period, it is clear that the UK remains an important commercial market for brand owners.
